Blockchain company Avalanche has teamed up with Formula E team Andretti.

The move coincides with Fantom’s launch of an NFT collection with French Formula 1 driver Pierre Gasly, following major F1 exchange partnerships, including FTX sponsoring Mercedes and crypto.com sponsoring Jaguar.

Avalanche and Andretti Formula E have announced the partnership, which will see AVAX serve as title sponsor ahead of Andretti’s eighth season at the upcoming ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. As part of the partnership, Avalanche unveiled Andretti’s new livery. during Lisbon Blockchain Week.

The move marks a huge partnership for both parties and will provide Ava Laboratories with a tremendous opportunity for exposure to the rapidly growing motorsport, which has more than 300m viewers and an impressive 156% fan growth since last season.

“As the founding team of Formula E, we believe in the mission and the future of the Series and we are delighted to bring an innovative partner like Avalanche on board,” said Michael Andretti, Director of Formula E .

“I think running the Formula E series with us is an ideal category for blockchain and the work Avalanche has done to create a quick and sustainable solution makes it a perfect choice for us.

“Not only do we share the goal of winning on the track, but we also share the belief that blockchain technology can have a positive impact on the world of motorsport.

“This opens up opportunities for new ways to interact with fans and a chance to introduce cutting edge technology into various areas of the team. We are excited to see where this partnership will go.

Andretti has competed in seven Formula E seasons and has eight impressive pole positions, 17 podiums and seven ABB FIA Formula E victories.

Season eight of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship kicks off on January 28 with the Diriyah E-Prize in Saudi Arabia.

Avalanche Andretti Formula E will contest two entries for the full season, both using BMW Racing eDrive03 transmissions, with two-time Formula E champion Jake Dennis being one of the two drivers.

The Formula E driver spoke about his car’s new livery and the AVAX partnership.

“I am super excited for this new partnership to join Andretti and Avalanche,” he told Coin Rivet.

“I really like the color scheme and design of next season’s race car – it’s bold, crisp and noticeable to the eye, that’s what you want. I think this will bring attention to us as a team in a very exciting way.

“What’s cool is that both parties have the same goal of trying to be the best they can be in their own industries. With that passion, I think that by merging the two, we can improve the race car and see what new software we can come up with to try and give us the best possible chance of winning FE in 2022 ”.

Fantom launches NFT collection with F1 legend Pierre Gasly

In a great event for the Fantom Foundation, F1 champion Pierre Gasly has agreed to collaborate on an exciting collection of three unique NFTs to commemorate the highlights of his career so far.

At just 25 years old, Gasly won three podiums in F1 and is the all-time leading scorer for the Scuderia Alpha Tauri team.

Three NFTs are expected to mark each of his podium appearances – the Brazilian Grand Prix in 2019, the Italian Grand Prix in 2020 and again the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in 2021.

Each of the NFTs will unlock exclusive souvenir items such as helmets, and entitle the holder to a meeting with Gasly.
