The Hammock Bridge 10 Mile Circuit race is scheduled for 5:45 a.m. Sunday morning in San Ignacio, Cayo.
According to the organizers, Total Time Belize, the Hammock Bridge 10 Mile circuit is yet another “Adventure Expedition Run”.
Total Time Belize said the terrain is “rolling, paved and gravel roads, dusty if dry and a few mud puddles if it rains first. The race crosses 4 bridges, the Hammock bridge swinging under your feet as you run over it. Spectacular views as you traverse the hilly terrain and look up and down the river as you cross them”.
The race starts and ends at the Mr. Sas Gym.
Here is the route:
Start at Mr Sas Gym
Left on Branch Mouth Road
Turn left Boulevard Loma Luz
On the bridge
First right turn after the bridge
Turn right onto George Price Avenue
On the Hawkesworth Bridge
Turn left onto Buena Vista Street (Police Station)
Turn right onto Joseph Andrews Drive (Round-A-Bout)
Turn left onto Bullet Tree Road (traffic lights)
Continue to Bullet Tree Village
On the bullet tree bridge
Turn right onto Santa Familia Road
Continue towards the mouth of the branch
Turn right onto Branch Mouth Road
On the hammock deck
Continue onto Branch Road Mouth
Finish at Mr Sas Gym
