We interview Jordan Taylor, go rally and drive a 2019 Bentley Continental GT

In this episode of the Autoweek podcast, host Rory Carroll guides Mike Pryson and Wesley Wren through the gruesome Formula 1 race in Spain and Ford’s recent dominance in NASCAR. Before dissecting why the Spanish GP was bad, the team is joined by phone by Jimmy Pelizzari to talk about his Southern Ohio Forest Rally reconnaissance laps. When Jimmy isn’t talking about F1 on the podcast, or doing his actual job at Autoweek, he’s driving a Subaru 2.5RS in various stage rallies across the Midwest. Jimmy gives a first-hand account of the stages of the Southern Ohio event, as well as a glimpse of what it’s like to participate in a rally race.

Next, Robin Warner, Mike and Jimmy interview Jordan Taylor of Wayne Taylor Racing. Jordan talks about his love of racing and seeing his brother leave his team, and tells a few stories about his racing debut. Jordan also explains how demanding the different races of the year can be, despite the very different race lengths.

After Jordan Taylor’s interview, Graham Kozak leads a discussion about the 2019 Bentley Continental GT with Robin, Jake Lingeman and Wesley. The crew dive deep into the new bones of the Bentley and talk about what makes it special. They also pit it against other notable frequent travelers in a hypothetical buying situation. Closing the show, they talk about the Bentley’s insane rotating infotainment screen.
